Jon and I were just talking about this last night when we saw a commercial for the Food Network Awards. It just seemed kind of bizarre to us that the network is giving out awards for people... on the network? I could understand if they were branching out to include people in the industry, but not on the network, but it seems that they're not going that route.
But anyway...I digress.
There are also, believe it or not, best blog awards now! You can vote in all kinds of categories, like Best Celebrity Blogger, Best Blog About Stuff, Best Blog Design, or Best Animal Blogger (I'm guessing that those are blogs written about animals, not by animals). You can vote up until 11:59 PM on May 22. Anyone can vote, and anyone can nominate their (or anyone else's) blog.
The winners will be announced on June 2nd at the PostieCon event in Orlando, FL, which is an event sponsored by PayPerPost I'm not sure what the winners will get, other than fame and accolades amongst the blogosphere :)
