Jon and I went to the Canes game last night, which we lost. Terribly. The game didn't matter anyway, as we were already out of the running for the playoffs, but it would have been nice to beat Atlanta and lessen their chances at winning the division.
Anyway, we had *great* seats... 6 rows back, right in the corner, on the end that the Canes shoot twice. We are getting spoiled.
Sometime towards the 3rd period, I think it was, we all of a sudden heard a woman scream, "Security!" and a little child squealing, maybe about 8 or 9 rows above where we were. People were standing up, and I couldn't really see what was going on, but after security did come over, Jon was able to overhear the discussion.
Seems like what happened was that there was a family w/a daughter around 8 or 9 years old sitting in one row, and in the row behind them, were a man and a woman w/no kids. The man and the woman were apparently swearing loudly and repeatedly throughout the game.
The dad in front had asked them throughout the game to not swear, since their daughter was with them. The cursing people disregarded the man's request, and continued swearing.
At this point, the dad thought the best way to handle this situation was to take a swing at the swearing guy. And that's when the screaming ensued.
Anyone else see something wrong w/this picture?
You're trying to be a good parent by not having your kid's ears filled w/swears, which is all well and good, but then your tactic to deal with that is to attempt to punch someone out?
