**We tried all day**

to get tickets to see the Smashing Pumpkins in Asheville next month when they're doing their residency at the Orange Peel. Tickets were supposed to go on sale at 1pm, and I was ready. Too bad the ticket site wasn't ready for the INSANE amount of volume that they got smacked with. The site was completely hosed up all day... we actually managed to get to the ticket order screen about 4 times between 1 and 7 pm, but we could never actually check out. Turns out that they realized the thing wasn't working, and now they're going to be sold through TicketMaster (grr), but I have no idea when they go on sale. Guess I'll just have to keep an eye on things.
