The building I work in backs up to a small lake/wooded area, and I've occasionally seen deer out near or in the water.
Tonight I was talking on the phone to Jon, looking out the window (I'm on the 4th floor), and I saw a doe come out of the reeds, but she was limping badly. Once she got a little closer, I was able to see that she was missing her left front leg!
I can't believe she would have been able to survive the injury, but apparently, she's doing OK, as she had twin fawns who came tagging along behind her.

Wow the poor thing! It is amazing that she survived. I would think nature would have gotten the better of her. :) Glad she is okay, I hope she has a good life.
