I sent it off to get my name changed 2 months ago tomorrow, and I wasn't really anticipating getting it back for another couple of weeks. Apparently the passport department is overwhelmed w/requests due to the new travel requirements into Canada and Mexico. You have to think that they would have realized that a surge like this would happen and adjust accordingly to accomodate for it.
It wasn't a huge deal for me anyway -- I was more or less just doing it b/c it needed doing. I don't really need it till October. But I've been reading/hearing things about people having to cancel trips and/or having it really come down to the wire. That would cause me far too much stress. I am a bit of a control freak when it comes to trip planning and the details that go along with that, and I probably would have been having a nervous breakdown by this point if we had been planning to go into Canada next month.
OH!! I totally forgot to mention this, but we won one of the pink hockey sticks signed by JUSTIN WILLIAMS!! Oh my goodness :) We haven't gotten it yet, but we're already trying to figure out where we're going to put it.

Oh my God I never even thought about having to get a new one due to name change.... oh that was only YEARS ago. HA HA. Good grief. You can tell I haven't been anywhere in a while.
