Here's a new idea in web directories -- bid to increase your rank. Instead of relying on people linking to you to help increase your ranking, you can place a bid to help increase it. This is the idea over at Big Web Links Bid Directory. If you to be on the first page, bid more. If you're not so worried, and have an awesome page that everyone links to and visits, then bid less.
