Oh, but they are.
Jon and I got our new living room furniture today (huzzah!), and rather than just take the old to the dump, we figured we'd donate it, since it was still in reasonable condition.
Well, the Salvation Army people just came and went, and didn't take 1 thing with them out of 4 pieces of furniture. Apparently "reasonable" isn't good enough. Essentially, they want it to be new.
The man's words were, "Oh, we can't take it, it's got a little stain right there."
Are you KIDDING ME?
You are running a charity, not a new furniture store.
So now, we've got 4 sofa and 5 tables and no where to walk.
Looks like it'll be going to the dump after all.

How weird. Our Salvation Army takes just about anything, I'm pretty sure. Jill (pea Jill_Ilene)
Look for your local Freecycle group. I bet someone will take it AND they'll come pick it up. freecycle.org, find you local group and post an offer for hte furniture.
