One thing I miss from our old house (and our house in FL, believe it or not) is our Home Security System. It was such a nice thing to have, and even when I was home late at night by myself, I had no worries. Of course, it was always a pain in the neck if you opened the door without remembering to turn the thing off (if you weren't awake beforehand, you certainly were then).
LaserShield provides portable security systems that are easy to install, and area great for a small office, apartment, or house. Their systems are pet-friendly as well, which is really important for us, since we don't want one of the dogs or cats inadvertently setting the thing off.
