First doctor's visit

Eleanor had her first doctor's appointment this morning for a weight check. In the hospital, she'd dropped from 7lb 8oz down to an even 7lb, but she's since picked back up 4oz, so that's good. Her doctor (who was actually MY pediatrician when I was little!) said everything else looks great, and gave her an A+ :) She's all scheduled for her 1- and 2-month appointments.

I have been in a weird head fog the past couple of days, and it's making me feel just awful. I can't think, and I feel so completely drained and loopy. I think it must be coming from the pain meds I've been taking, so I'm going to stop with those. I don't really hurt much anymore except in the mornings, anyway.

We went to bed pretty early last night, and Jon, being the restless soul that he is, woke up about 3am and couldn't get back to sleep, so he came out to the living room and brought the baby with him. I was able to get about 4.5 hours of sleep (in a row!) as a result, which was wonderful. And oddly enough, he said Eleanor slept much better out here w/him than she did in our room, where she sleeps in her Pack'n'Play. We think it's b/c she's more comfortable in smaller spaces, like her bouncy chair or someone's arms... she'll sleep hours at a stretch in her chair. So we're going to take the chair to bed tonight, and see if that works out better.
